It's as if it is an avalanche of dumbass coming right at me.

 Have you been watching the news lately? It seems like the entire population of the US has been drinking a huge portion of liquid dumbass. I mean does it seem like most of the population has bent over and their brains leaked out? How is it possible that Donald Trump has any opportunity to become the leader of the free world? I'm wondering if the collective unconscious will become conscious and vote against this absolute idiot.

Here we are again, hoping that the President will come forth and actually get what he's stated that he will fight for.
 I for one, am very tired of seeing him cave in to the call for bi-partisanship when it is absolutely clear that the Disloyal Opposition will do nothing, to include leaving a burning building if he suggested it, in order to make sure that they pander to the Tealiban.
 Here's hoping that we will get the change.
 That's not the hope and change I voted for...

The really sad thing about the State of the Union

 I am discouraged about the State of our Union, which isn't very united. Don't get me wrong, I truly believe that we need divergent opinion and intelligent discourse but that certainly isn't what we have now. We have some yammerheads running around screaming that all that matters is that we have a deficit, and offer no solutions except to cut spending in a depression. Yes I said depression. It's time to take the blinders off and call a spade a spade. We are in a depression although the upper crust doesn't seem to be in it with us. In my area, we have well over 20% unemployment or underemployment. The stores are closing, restaurants have closed and it seems that there is no end to the spiral downwards.
 We have our Congressmen proposing that we should have a moritorium on new regulation of the oil and gas sector because it hurts small business, even though there certainly is nothing small about oil and gas, and the two of them were instrumental in exascerbating the debt crisis.
 I am discouraged....

 I have to wonder if the Republican'ts have lost the mind that they share. There cannot be more than one mind shared by all of the trolls that are infesting our country. It is the only explanation on why they cannot perform simple arithmetic, have no empathy or compassion, and can deny the obvious hypocrisy in their beliefs.
